PORTFOLIO REVIEWS & ARTIST IN THE CLASSROOM
I am an artist and visual arts teacher with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree In the Art and
Art History Program from the University of Toronto and Sheridan. As a former Sheridan instructor teaching in the Illustration and Art Fundamentals Programs in the School of Animation, Arts & Design, I have been responsible for portfolio reviews and have an intimate knowledge of the portfolio assessment process and post-secondary arts programs. My career includes graphic design, photography and marketing management.
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS:
Informative sessions covering portfolio specifications and the requirements to empower your students to prepare an organized, strong portfolio demonstrating their skill, talent and knowledge. This open discussion dialogue viewing examples of artwork is designed to give your students the ability to speak coherently about their creative process during the assessment.
ARTIST IN THE CLASSROOM
As a mixed media artist working in both two and three dimensions, I provide a variety of workshops designed to meet your curriculum such as figure and perspective drawing, painting, design, photography and sculpture.

I share both my artistic and entrepreneurial experience discussing self promotion, marketing and customer service.

PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT & ASSESSMENT
Your portfolio is the most important aspect of your post-secondary Arts admission application. I can help you to prepare and organize a strong portfolio and artist's statement that will exceed the expectations of the portfolio review. I will give you the ability to speak coherently about your artwork and creative process to the assessors.
I have been responsible for portfolio reviews at both Sheridan and OCAD, and as a former Sheridan professor in the Illustration & Art Fundamentals Programs, I have an intimate knowledge of the portfolio assessment process.
Portfolio development and assessment is also available in the classroom setting, and I also mentor secondary school students to develop visual artwork and review portfolios for the Advanced Placement Program and the International Baccalaureate Program.

Create balance in your life using creative exploration to rediscover, nurture your sense of wholeness and well-being. Express yourself through a visionary board and put pen to paper to experience the value of journalling as a catalyst for your dreams to blossom & flourish.
This workshop is based on the philosophies of 'The Artist's Way' by Julia Cameron.
Date: New date - Thursday, April 22 (originally April 29)
Time: 7:00-9:00 pm
Location: 1515 Rebecca Street, Suite 229, Oakville (within Hopedale Mall)
Cost: $15 - all proceeds are donated to the Halton Women's Centre
